V&A Hire supplies loading and unloading crews in Atlanta for trucks, trailers, and shipping containers. Floor-loaded boxes, palletized freight, outbound loads, or inventory moves: you tell us what is coming in or going out and when, and we send a vetted crew that knows the job before they arrive.
Crews are available for a single trailer, a run of container deliveries, or a standing weekly schedule, with the option of a V&A Hire supervisor to run the dock so your receiving team can keep working.
How much does a loading and unloading crew cost in Atlanta?
V&A Hire charges a flat $24 per hour per worker for loading and unloading crews in Atlanta. Standby, platform, roster hold, and card processing fees, plus a supervisor fee if you choose Managed Labor, are listed separately on your quote, and the full breakdown is below.
How many workers do I need to unload a truck or container?
It depends on what is inside and how it is loaded: floor-loaded boxes take far more hands and time than pallets you can pull with a jack. Tell V&A Hire the trailer or container size, whether it is palletized or floor-loaded, and your deadline, and we recommend a crew size on your quote.
How fast can V&A Hire send a loading crew?
Most V&A Hire loading and unloading requests in Atlanta are confirmed within 24 hours. If you know a container's arrival window, send it as soon as you have it so the crew is lined up for the day it lands.
What happens if a worker doesn't show up?
Every V&A Hire crew includes standby workers, one for every five on the crew, so a no-show is covered without you making calls. Workers check in by GPS when they arrive, so you can see who is on site in real time, and each worker is briefed by text before the shift with the address, call time, and who to report to.
What do V&A Hire loading crews handle?
V&A Hire loading crews unload floor-loaded trailers and shipping containers, load outbound trucks, break down and build pallets, stage and sort freight, and move inventory inside the building. Note anything heavy, fragile, or unusual on your request so the crew is briefed for it.
What should I have ready for the crew?
Have the dock door or drop location, a receiving contact, and the equipment the job needs, such as pallet jacks, dollies, and ramps. Put PPE rules, parking, and check-in steps in your request notes, and we include them in each worker's text briefing.
Who is a V&A Hire loading crew not a good fit for?
If the job needs a certified forklift operator, hazardous-materials handling, or specialized rigging, say so on your request so we can confirm whether we can fill it before you commit. V&A Hire crews are general labor: hands for loading, unloading, and moving freight.
Where does V&A Hire send loading crews?
V&A Hire sends loading and unloading crews across metro Atlanta, including the Fulton Industrial corridor, South Fulton, the airport area and Forest Park, McDonough and Henry County, and Norcross and Gwinnett, and to other cities nationwide.
What does it cost?
V&A Hire charges a flat $24 per hour per worker for every role. Fees are listed separately on your quote, and the supervisor fee applies only if you choose Managed Labor:
- V&A Hire on-site supervisor (Managed Labor only): $150 for crews of 1 to 5, $200 for 6 to 15, $250 for 16 or more
- Standby workers: $25 each, one for every five workers (minimum one), so a no-show is covered
- Platform fee: 5% of labor
- Roster hold: $10 per worker
- Card processing: 2.9% + $0.30
Example, labor only: 2 workers for 8 hours is $384 in labor plus $25 standby, $19.20 platform fee, $20 roster hold, and $13.30 card processing, $461.50 total. With Managed Labor, 5 workers for 8 hours plus a V&A Hire supervisor comes to $1,269.06 total.
Your deposit covers labor, standby, and the roster hold. The remaining balance is due 15 days after the job.
